Keynote lecture.  Topic is 'What is Justice?'

This will be held in Valencia's East Campus Black Box Theater, Building 3.

Christopher Phillips: Philosopher and historian, author of “Socrates Café” and a half dozen other books on Socrates and the Socratic tradition,

Phillips brings the dialectical method of the founder of ethical philosophy back into the classroom, hosting discussions in the style depicted in Plato’s dialogues in which the rhetorical style of questioning is promoted as the pathway to deep learning. 

Phillips will visit Valencia’s East Campus September 25-27 hosting discussions with groups of students and workshops with professors.  A limited number of his seminal book, “Socrates Café,” will be available free of charge to interested students.
