Do you struggle balancing personal connections with issues of global scale?
Do your students fake restroom trips to check Facebook?
Do you feel overwhelmed and want to unplug?
Valencia’s Humanities Speaker Series sponsored by Student Development is welcoming film director Tiffany Shlain to inspire a conversation about how to embrace technology for the right levels of connection, locally and globally.
Students, faculty, staff, and the community are invited to a free lecture on
March 26th at 1pm in the East Campus Performing Arts Center (PAC).
Connected will be shown free of charge in the PAC on March 26th at 11:20am and 7:00pm (PG, 80 min)
Shlain’s Let it Ripple film series suggests,
“After centuries of declaring independence,
perhaps it’s time to declare our interdependence instead.”
