Purpose: To create and promote awareness about the day so students can commemorate the US Constitution and learn about its importance and historic facts.
Activities: there will be a spinning wheel and a beanbag game where students will end up with one of the three possible categories (ordered by difficulty). Once they get a category– after either spinning the wheel or throwing a beanbag into one of the 3 sockets–, they will get a question related to the Constitution. If they answer correctly, they will get to choose one of the three options (a slice of pizza, something to drink, or either a cupcake or a cookie) with either a flag or a US flag pin. Participants will be able to participate as many times as they want in order to get one, two, or each of the three available food rewards.
Two costumed assistants (one as a founding father and one as Uncle Sam) will be attractic and talking to students. If interested, students will be able to take pictures with them.
Besides, fact sheets with interesting and important historic facts about the Constitution and everything it entails will be handed out to students.
