The nationally and internationally acclaimed performing arts and educational initiative will present a presentation entitled
Drum Sermons: Folktales, legends, and Myths, from the Far Corners. It will include a special commemoration of this year’s
400th anniversary of the arrival of enslaved Africans in Jamestown, Virginia in 1619 and re-imagined agencies that
African-Americans employed as they migrated from their native land to the Northern colonies, the Rural South, the great
expanses of the United States, and the world. All are welcome.
