Refugees are Welcome in My Classroom: The Plight of Refugee Children

The objective of this presentation is to educate attendees about the plight of Refugee children around the globe as a result of war and natural disasters. The presenters from the Teacher Education program will share the increasing number of Refugee children attending public schools, the importance of understanding their cultures to make their future classrooms inclusive.  Come and enjoy the delicious bakhlawa, chai, and samosas while you applaud the first time student presentations!  Sponsored by MAP Club.
