The East Campus Advising Department & the Valencia College Foundation proudly present the 3rd annual Valencia Scholarship Series! 

Melissa Shank and Jon Taylor will facilitate the scholarship series for all Valencia College students this spring 2024. The purpose of the series is to engage students in scholarship conversations that go beyond simply encouraging them to apply, with the aim of all students participating in the program submitting a completed Valencia Foundation Scholarship Application.  

The series will help educate students on Valencia Foundation scholarship opportunities, resources at the college that can aid students in completing their applications, how to write a compelling scholarship essay that increases their chances of winning an award, financial aid regarding scholarships, and presentations from other Florida institutions on scholarship opportunities when they transfer.  

This four-part Zoom series will be from 2 pm – 4 pm on February 1st, February 8th, February 22nd, and February 29th, with three optional in-person essay writing sessions on East, West, and Osceola Campuses on February 13th, 14th, and 15th, respectively.

Scholarship dollars don't just go to those students with the best grades and best test scores; they can also go to those who know how to find scholarships and write a compelling story about themselves. In this four-session series, students will gain the skills needed to win scholarships!
