This event is part of Valencia College's 50th anniversary celebration. The concert, which highlights the work of guest choreographers and Valencia faculty members, features student, faculty and guest dancers performing modern dance and ballet.
In honor of Valencia’s 50th anniversary, the performance will include two pieces previously presented: “Gaîté Parisienne,” choreographed by Valencia artistic director Lesley Brasseux Rodgers and previously presented in 2005 and 2011; and “The Envelope,” choreographed by David Parsons and previously presented in 2010. Additionally, the concert will include “Chukchi,” a work by modern dance choreographer Jon Lehrer.
Valencia dance alumni will be performing in “Gaîté Parisienne” alongside current dance majors.
PLEASE NOTE: Valencia students with valid I.D. are eligible to receive one free ticket to this event. These tickets will be issued at the box office beginning at 7:00pm on the nights of the events, and you must show your Valencia College student I.D. to receive your free ticket.
