13th Documentary Screening - Black History Month

Join Student Development for a screening of Ava DuVernay's award-winning documentary 13th. Titled after the 13th Amendment, abolishing slavery in the United States, the film explores the history of the US justice system and race. Making the case for a modern type of oppression, 13th goes in depth into the impacts of the prison system on African American communities. Part of the LNC Black History Month programming #ValenciaBHM2020
