About this Event
The Student Rights and Responsibilities team is currently searching for faculty, staff, and students willing to serve on the Student Conduct Board for the 2024-2025 academic year. Applications are LIVE now through Wednesday, January 31st at 11:59 p.m. via our Student Conduct Board website.
The Student Conduct Board members are tasked to serve as hearing officers for formal hearings. The formal hearings are coordinated to allow students and student organizations the right to be heard by our Valencia College community members in academic misconduct, behavioral, and organizational misconduct cases where students/student organizations have been charged with alleged violation(s) of the Student Code of Conduct.
We are seeking faculty, staff, and students willing to commit and volunteer their time to support our office. This is a great professional opportunity that teaches members conflict management, ethical decision-making, and verbal communicative skills. Eligibility requirements and expectations can be found on our Student Conduct Board website.
We ask that you please share this information with your academic department, staff, and classes to assist us in our outreach efforts. We are aiming to further diversify the committee with individuals who represent our Valencia College values. We really do need support in recruiting students to serve on our conduct board… Therefore, feel free to reach out and offer suggestions. Please see the flyesr attached for more information to disseminate and post around your areas, is possible.
