The Valencia East Campus Humanities Speakers and Performers Series is thrilled to welcome back The Bobby Koelble Band for an evening of inspired jazz reinterpretations of the iconic music of 1960s rock legends The Doors.

While Jim Morrison’s infamous stage presence and surreal lyrics captivated audiences, the band’s enduring impact was driven by extraordinary musicianship - Ray Manzarek’s inventive keyboards, Robby Krieger’s distinctive guitar work, and John Densmore’s precise, jazz-influenced drumming helped define the psychedelic rock era.

Legendary local guitarist and UCF Jazz Professor Bobby Koelble returns to Valencia to once again reinvent classic rock through a jazz lens. Previous appearances include When Jimi Met Miles (2020), which reimagined the music of Jimi Hendrix through the influence of Miles Davis, and Jazzy Soul (2023), featuring jazz interpretations of The Beatles with Valencia’s own Michelle Mailhot on vocals.

Now, Koelble brings a new incarnation of his band to explore the music of The Doors in a bold, jazz-infused performance. Don’t miss Morrison Jazz Hotel - a fresh and inventive tribute to one of rock’s most influential bands.

This concert is FREE and open to the public!
