Valencia College will hold its annual Valencia Dance Summer Repertory Concert on July 11 and 12, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Valencia’s East Campus.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will showcase the work of high-school students who participated in the Valencia Summer Dance Institute, as well as Valencia College A.A. in Dance Performance Degree Pathway majors.

The Valencia Summer Dance Institute is a four-week program that provides low-cost instruction to high-school students from Central Florida. Participating students are given the opportunity to work with college and guest instructors.

Choreographers for Valencia Summer Dance Institute dancers include: Lesley Brasseux Rodgers, Artistic Director, Valencia Dance Theatre and Valencia dance faculty; Kathy Follensbee, Dance Director at Dr. Phillips High School and Valencia dance faculty; Megan Bannatyne, A.A. in Dance Performance Alumni, and Ariaghna Parrilla Rey, current A.A. in Dance Performance Degree Pathway major.

Choreographers for the Valencia dance majors include: Jeanne Travers, dance professor at the University of South Florida; Eric Yow, artistic director of Yow Dance, an Orlando-based modern dance company; Jessica Smith, A.A. in Dance Performance Alumni and current Valencia dance faculty; Alexander Jones, Artistic Director of projectALCHEMY; Kevin Veiga, dance professor at Prince George’s Community College in Maryland; Amyia Burrell, Head of the Young Dancer Division at Orlando Ballet; and Lesley Brasseux Rodgers, Artistic Director, Valencia Dance Theatre and Valencia dance faculty.

Ticket prices are $15 for the general public and $10 for senior citizens and Valencia College students, faculty and staff.
