About this Event
This Spring, eight Valencia students and one faculty member will have the exciting opportunity to participate in the “Butterfly” Exchange Program in Denmark. Organized in partnership with Zealand Academy of Technologies and Business in Roskilde, Denmark, this unique program will focus on Innovation and Cross-Cultural Communication.
Our students will join 60 peers from Thailand, Mexico, Denmark, and various European countries for a dynamic blended-mobility experience. The program begins with a Virtual Exchange in March, followed by a two-week On-Site Exchange in Denmark, where students will collaborate with international teams to develop innovative solutions to real-world business problems and participate in workshops.
Thanks to generous funding from our partner through the Erasmus Plus program, most travel expenses for Valencia participants will be covered. Additionally, in partnership with the Valencia College School of Business, the program is integrated into GEB 1350: Introduction to International Business, taught by Dr. Marsha Butler, so students will receive Valencia credit.
On January 21, our Valencia Butterfly students met with a group of 15 students from another partner in Denmark, Zealand Business College (ZBC), who were visiting Valencia for 2 weeks as part of an inbound customized program focused on business and customer service. The ZBC students also engaged in class visits with Professors Matthew Kenney, Joanne Goodman, and Suzette Ashton, and had special guest lectures on marketing with Professor Andres Goyanes, thus helping us internationalize our classes.
