Every fall and spring, the Valencia Math Club holds a Calculus Bee, an Algebra Bee and a Statistics Bee. The Calculus Bee, the Algebra Bee and the Statistics Bee are contests for Valencia College students. It is organized by the Valencia Math Club, sponsored by East Campus Math Department and Student Development. The contests consist of elimination rounds. The four most skillful contestants in each contest will be awarded prizes. All current Valencia College students are eligible to participate. Registration: To register for the Calculus Bee, the Algebra Bee, or the Statistics Bee, just come to the “Information Session” at building 8 room 119 (East campus) on November 7, 1 - 2:15 PM. Prizes: The Fall 2019 prizes for each contest will be as follows: 1st Prize: $100 2nd Prize: $50 3rd Prize: $25 4th Prize: $25 The contests are held in the fall and spring semesters respectively. For each contest, A $100 cash prize and a merit certificate will be awarded to the champion or first prize winner. A $50 cash prize and a merit certificate will be awarded to the second prize winner. Two runner-ups (3rd Prize and 4th Prize) will receive $25 cash prize and a merit certificate. FAQs Q. Who can enter the contests? A. Any current Valencia College student (from any campus) is eligible to participate. Part-time students are eligible. Q. Are there ID or other requirements to enter the event? A.
